Emergency Department Data Set (EDDS) - A&E attendance data

The Emergency Department Data Set is an individual level database containing Administrative and clinical information for all NHS Wales Accident and Emergency department attendances. Includes the All Wales Injury Surveillance Systems (AWISS) dataset. The data spans 2009 – present day and there are approximately 750,000 attendances per year. The data are collected and coded at each hospital.

Data recording practices may vary, especially in some of the minor A&E and Minor Injury Units which could account for some local differences.
